Rahul is a typical teenager. Hormones doing their tricks and going haywire. His face filled with cherry – red, little mountains called ‘Pimples’, is always restless, as new facts of life unfold to him everyday, feels his life sucks and the whole world is his enemy. Well after all so do millions of teenagers around the world.

But, this about our buddy Rahul. Rahul studies in the 9th std., in an English medium school in the “OXFORD OF THE EAST”!!!! He comes from a ‘modest middle class Indian family’ – both parents working to secure their future and all that crap.

Well, Rahul has a ‘mixed’ group of friends at school i.e., a group of teenage guys and gals – a symbol of how modern and sophisticated you are. These guys hang out regularly, stick – up for each other in school as well as outside, in all a nice, close group of friends.

But, no matter how close you are to your friends, you still have 1 or 2 very close buddies –

Enter Anu and Neha. Rahul is close with both of them. At the end of the year, as Rahul gets screwed over & over, he finds comfort in Anu. Then start a series of long talks. Neha is also close, but now Anu is the closest.

Come June next year, the group graduates to the all important 10th std. Search for the best coaching class begins. Rahul, Anu & Neha join the same class.
As the year progresses, Rahul finds comfort & answers to all his questions in Anu. Over the period he realizes that he has started to like her. He talks to Neha about this. They both come to a conclusion that, this may be an infactuation – a short period of attraction towards the opposite sex. And decide to wait a while.

On New Year’s Eve Rahul confides in Neha that, the infactuation has grown stronger & that he sees Anu as more than a friend.

So there it is, our buddy Rahul falls in love with this gorgeous gal, who is an amazing friend & a wonderful person.

Now starts the roller- coaster ride. Rahul reaches the class well before time, just to be alone with Anu. Calls her up everyday, purposefully goes to his grandma’s place, so he can come along with her. Starts pestering Neha, to find out, how Anu feels about him, if she likes someone else & all that movie crap!!!!!!

The year comes to an end. Everyone in the group completes school with flying colors. But still Rahul doesn’t have the guts to express his love to Anu. Neha tells him that, she just sees him as a good friend.

But Rahul doesn’t give up. For the next one year he makes it a point to meet Anu once a week, calls her up everyday. And they even go out a couple of times, just the both of them, but as ‘FRIENDS’.

The year comes to an end. Rahul makes up his mind, gathers up the strength & decides to tell Anu. He fixes up a date, plans for 2 whole weeks, how he’s gonna express himself, even gets her a gift, her favourite soft – toy.

Two days before the ‘Date’, Neha calls up Rahul. Tells him Anu has found some one & they both are crazy about each other. – sounds filmy naa – but its true – Rahul sinks, cries the whole day.

And then Life & Lady Luck play their part; he gets screwed over, parents don’t understand him, try to force things on him.

But he makes it through that, with the help of Neha. He continues to remain ‘close’ with Anu. Hangs out with her, sometimes with both of them i.e., Anu & her guy. Tries to suppress his feelings every time, & keeps telling himself ‘she’s just your friend.’

2 years pass by. Rahul is doing well, Neha is a topper in her college, falls for a guy, he becomes possessive, breaks up with him, emotional hell for a while. Neha & Rahul are the deepest of friends, both are very close.
But Anu, the ‘oh how beautiful she is’, Anu…….. she’s still with her guy Rohan. It’s the same between Rahul & Anu.

A few days pass by. Anu’s dad passes away. She crashes. Rahul & Neha rush to her. For the next 2 weeks Rahul visits her every-day. Bonds a bit with Rohan.

Due to some reason the rest of the group doesn’t come to see Anu right away. They visit a little late. But that does it, Rohan starts to brainwash Anu against the group. Tells her how immature & childish her friends are. A fight sparks between Anu & Neha, they drift apart – friends since the age of 4.

But the relation between Rahul & Anu is the same. Now Rohan doesn’t approve Anu meeting Rahul, but she still does. Anu starts to ditch & ignore the group, friends for 12 years, for Rohan, a person known for 2 years.

One fine day, out of no where, Anu asks Rahul that, does he have feelings for her ? – An old wound is exposed!
Rahul thinks, better late than never. Tells her the truth, but asks to meet her so he can explain in detail. Anu I busy for the next 2 days. Rahul calls on the 3rd day. Anu replies, “ he is best friend & she doesn’t want to loose him, but she doesn’t have the guts to face him.”

WHAT THE BLOODY HELL!!!!! THEN WHY DID SHE ASK IN THE 1ST PLACE?????????

Rahul again visits ‘oh so sweet town called “Emotional Hell”.
After this Anu & Rahul do well for a while, but they start to drift apart. Rahul tries to stay in touch with Anu, but she starts to avoid him.

Meanwhile, the whole group is pissed at Anu for her behavior.
When the water comes neck high, Rahul, Neha & Sneha (good friend) decide to meet Anu & settle things once & for all.

And so things are settled once & for all. Group breaks up with Anu, Neha hopes Anu breaks up with Rohan & he burns in hell.
And Rahul, well Rahul is getting over Anu. He has no feelings for her now.

So my dear friends - BETTER LATE, THAN NEVER – THINK AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Well, this can be a great story for a Karan Johar or a Steven Speilberg movie, but its not a story, its real life!!!!!!!
